The two-minute method that actually works
Do not order off your usual size. “Medium” means something different at every brand, and a made-to-order garment is slower to replace than something off a shelf. There is a better way, and it takes about two minutes.
- Find a t-shirt, sweatshirt, or hoodie you already own and like the fit of.
- Lay it flat on a table or bed and smooth out the fabric.
- Measure pit to pit: straight across the chest from one armpit seam to the other. Do not measure around the body.
- Measure shoulder to hem: from the highest point of the shoulder seam straight down to the bottom edge.
Compare those two numbers with the size chart on the product page, or with the charts further down this page. Each chart is the manufacturer's garment spec for that exact blank, so trust it over a size label from another brand.
Start with the product type
Tees: begin with the shirt you already like. If you are between sizes, choose the one whose width and length are closest to your reference shirt. A unisex cut usually runs straighter through the body than a fitted cut.
Hoodies and sweatshirts: measure a layer you would wear over a tee. Leave room for the way you actually plan to wear it instead of automatically sizing up.
Stickers: there is no fit to solve. 3″ suits a phone case or the corner of a laptop, 4″ is the default, and 5″ is for a car window or a laptop lid you have committed to.

Garment measured flat, in inches. Width: armpit to armpit, one inch below the armhole. Length: highest point of the shoulder to the hem. Allow about an inch either way.
Why this matters for made-to-order pieces
Every garment is printed for your order specifically. A fit mistake is different from a damaged, misprinted, or incorrect item: I can replace or refund an item that arrives damaged or wrong, but I cannot turn a garment ordered in the wrong size into the size you meant to choose. That is why measuring first is worth the extra two minutes.
Three fit rules that cover most people
- Between two sizes? Choose the size whose measurements are closest to the garment you already like. If you prefer roomier clothes, choose the larger one.
- Want an oversized look? Size up only after comparing the product chart with your reference garment; “oversized” is not the same amount of extra fabric on every blank.
- Buying a gift? Ask for pit-to-pit and shoulder-to-hem measurements, or choose a non-apparel item when asking would spoil the surprise.
